The Great Escape Saturday - The Final

VILE IMBECILES

I shot a few promo images for these guys a while back but had never seen them. They were sick as you like.

LA SHARK

ERRR. Were they serious? Funny though.

Simon from Teeth being very pissed and camp.

The Joy Formidable playing an acoustic for Levis in the flat above Audio. It was... a bit boring but quite nice? No free Jeans unfortunately...

BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE

Getting lean for the scene. Awesome show, awesome band, awesome sound.

GurnGurnGurn - ing OUT.

THE AGITATOR

He's mad good at singing and shouting at bankers and kids.

THEOPHILUS LONDON

This dude is ill. For some reason there was only about 50 people at his gig - I reckon they were all having an awful, dreary time moping about at The Big Pink or some shit. Let a bit of sunshine in your life.

Retards in the lobby.

Georgie is pretty much a ball of fur.

H.O.T.T. HAWT

FENECH-SOLER

He was bloody loving that keyboard. I really thought I wasn't going to like them but actually they were a big surprise. Much 'angrier' and more energetic than I pegged them for. Hence the ringside fisty cuffs.

So Chelsea won 1-0 on the final of the great escape this year. Luckily there was something to cheer about elsewhere. Warpaint, 80's Matchbox and Theophilus London were particular favourites, but all the fun came from hanging with the Gurn team and 'Shit shag'.

Great Escape: Friday

Othello Wolf playing in Beyond Retro. His sound was pretty generic if I'm honest but the Keyboardist was an absolute f o x.

Akin interviewing the amazing Alice Russell. Missed her gig unfortunately but heard her sound check.

This is a man from a band called 'Midnight Beast'. I have no idea who they are but some kids told me they were 'big on youtube'.

I'm obviously too old for it as they had a MASSIVE turnout.

Peggy Sue (no more Pirates) acoustic.

.........

WARPAINT

So beautiful and so fit. The best gig of the day.

Andy picked up this hat for Real Estate earlier in the day. This Buds for you.

OMG by Usher was playing from this dudes left shoe. In his left hand....

Fiery Furnaces. She's quite hot in a 'My name is Patti Smith' way.

?

Delphic at the Dome. The stage show was pretty impressive, until Ben was sick all into his hands.
